Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a debilitating condition that affects people on a myriad of spectrums. PTSD often creates hardships in every arena of life.

Hardships such as:

  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Lack of focus
  • Holding a job

  • Relational challenges
  • Inability to follow through / shut-down
  • Emotional connections
  • Unmanageable anger
  • Debilitating guilt
  • Managing stress
  • Depression / Despair
  • Suicidal thoughts

overwhelmThis list of symptoms is extensive–to those who do not have PTSD, it is just that–a list. But for those who experience these symptoms, it encompasses their entire lives. Their lives revolve around any or all of these symptoms. There can be confusion, frustration, and upset about how to address the issues and the challenges associated with PTSD. Doctor’s visits, medications, support groups, and counseling all are regular fare, often without much improvement.

There is much talk about how to assist those with PTSD to manage their symptoms and get them through their challenges. Now days it isn’t just the victim and the one with PTSD that suffers, but also their partners, children and families. The spectrum is vast and the effects wide.
